David Ufferfilge, CIH - Senior Consultant

David Ufferfilge has performed industrial hygiene for 5 years and has managed health and safety programs at a cancer research center and the DOE National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) for total of 5 years. At NREL, he served as the Radiation Safety Officer and the respiratory protection, hearing conservation, and non-ionizing radiation program manager. All the programs that David managed have had significant strides in effectiveness, efficiency, intuitiveness, and customer satisfaction. He earned a B.S. in Environmental Health in 1994 and a MS in Toxicology from Colorado State University in 1999. His thesis work studied molecular mechanisms of inflammation due to inhaled agricultural dusts. David’s strength areas are respiratory protection, radiation, non-ionizing radiation, industrial hygiene, laboratory safety, and toxicology. He joined the Otis Institute team part time as of May 2012.
