Job Description:
Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) with at least 6 years experience in the health and safety areas. Experience in the healthcare, biotech and high technology segments (semiconductor, solar, and light emitting diode manufacturing) is preferred. The selected candidate will be responsible for industrial hygiene support to our clients and to our junior industrial hygienist. The support will include all aspect of health and safety:
⇒ Industrial hygiene monitoring and hazard evaluations;
⇒ Code and regulatory compliance;
⇒ EHS management system development and implementation;
⇒ Best management practice assessments;
⇒ Health and safety documentation development/implementation;
⇒ Health and safety report preparation.
Candidate will also interface directly with clients, assist in marketing and proposal writing, and manage individual projects. Knowledge of federal and state regulations, especially for the state of California, is required.

Job Requirements:
The following are key requirements of the job:

⇒ Industrial hygiene (IAQ, investigations, sampling, monitoring, assessments)
⇒ Health and safety code compliance
⇒ EHS/Occupational Health and Safety training
⇒ EHS assessments/general program compliance audits
⇒ Regulatory compliance
⇒ Occupational safety surveys/inspections
⇒ Workstation ergonomic evaluations with support from other ergonomic staff

Desired Qualifications:
⇒ Radiation and Laser Safety Officer, preferred
⇒ EHS Management System (OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001) program development, preferred
⇒ Previous experience with TSCA PMN/LVE/LOREX applications is desired.
⇒ Previous experience with project management, marketing, proposal writing and client meetings is desired.
⇒ Previous employee management/supervision experience is desired.

In addition, you must be highly motivated; customer focused and work well in a team environment. Excellent written and verbal communication, client interaction and organizational skills, as well as proficiency with MS Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access, are preferred. You must also be able to translate regulatory language into “plain English” terms to clearly communicate requirements to non-regulatory personnel.
